Hi! I’m Steph

My plan is really not to overwhelm folx who find this page with personal stories or seven pages of ‘life’ before giving recipes, but since this is all new, I wanted to go ahead and introduce myself.

My name is Steph. I’ve been married for almost 5 years and live in small town Georgia with the hubs and our two dogs, Nala and Leo. I have a Doctor of Education from the University of Georgia and my full time gig is overseeing education initiatives for the county where we live. I love to lead worship at our church and when we’re at home, I love to cook a good meal.

I’m definitely not a fancy chef. My meals are simple, some may be involved, but overall very simple for any reader to complete. But please, do not confuse simple with boring or tasteless. Making flavorful and exciting meals is my goal!

I cook paleo, vegetarian, sometimes vegan, and of course, your average every day American diet. While most of the time I choose to not consume meat, sometimes I just can’t say no to a burger or bacon. I experiment in gluten free recipes, dairy free, and anything my friends ask of me. I am convinced that the Lord is preparing me for a child that has severe dislikes or allergies with all that I’ve learned to cook!

Like most foodies, at the heart of every recipe is a desire to show my love for the folx I am cooking for. My husband is priority uno when it comes to cooking and he is also my hardest critic! I hope you’ll fall in love with some of the recipes that I share here – and if not, please let me know what you think would make them better!

I am a lifelong learner and will continue to aspire to be the best chef I can be every day!
